Delete your Culinow account
You can delete your Culinow account and the personal information attached to it at any time. Deletion is permanent — there is no way to restore the account afterwards.
How to delete your account
- Log in to Culinow on the website, or open the Culinow app.
- Go to Settings — on the website, or Settings → Delete account in the app.
- Confirm with your password. The deletion happens immediately.
If you have uninstalled the app and cannot log in, email support@culinow.com from the address registered to the account and we will delete it for you.
What is deleted
Your profile and photo, email address, saved recipes and boards, shopping lists, pantry, meal plans, likes, follows, Status Points and mission history, and your browsing and activity records.
What stays on Culinow
Recipes you published stay on Culinow without your name attached, along with the reviews and likes other people left on them — that content belongs to those people, not to your account. Your name, photo and profile are removed and the account link is severed permanently. Photographs you uploaded stay as published and may still carry metadata written by the camera that took them, which can include location; we do not remove that metadata yet.
What we keep, and for how long
Invoices and subscription records — including the email address used for the purchase — are kept for seven years. Tax law requires it and it is what lets us answer a payment dispute. Nothing else about you is retained.
Subscriptions
If you subscribed on the website, deleting your account also stops the subscription renewing. If you subscribed through Google Play, deleting your Culinow account does not cancel that subscription — Google bills it, so it has to be cancelled in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
