Where Culinow is offered: Culinow’s recipes and community are available worldwide. Paid ebooks are sold to residents of the countries listed in the country selector at checkout, and Gold Chef Premium is available to residents of the United States only. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for their consent before Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel loads; elsewhere, both run unless you opt out on the Your Privacy Choices page or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour. If our location check is temporarily unavailable, we ask every visitor for consent.

Photographs taken on a phone or camera usually carry embedded metadata, which can include the location where the picture was taken.
Culinow removes it for you. Every photograph uploaded to Culinow is re-encoded when it is saved, which discards the embedded metadata — including any location data — before the image is stored or published. You do not need to strip it yourself. Image orientation is preserved, so pictures still appear the right way up.
Photographs uploaded before this protection was introduced may still contain their original metadata. Please still confirm that you have permission from any identifiable person appearing in a photograph before uploading it.

Advertising and measurement. We use the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., on our website. When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it.
Our hosting provider takes a daily backup of the site files and database and keeps each backup for up to 30 days before it is overwritten. Information you have deleted may therefore persist in those backups for up to 30 days after it is removed from the live service.

No website, database, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for:
- Using a strong password
- Keeping your credentials confidential
- Logging out of shared devices
- Protecting your email account
- Not sharing download links
- Informing us about suspected unauthorized access
If you believe your account or personal information has been compromised, contact us promptly at support@culinow.com

- Investigate the incident
- Restrict affected systems
- Restore secure operations
- Work with service providers
- Preserve relevant evidence
- Notify affected users

Notifications will be provided when and as required by applicable law.
14. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of personal information
- Request a portable copy of certain information
- Object to certain processing
- Restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent
- Opt out of promotional communications
- Opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising
- Appeal certain privacy-request decisions
- Submit a complaint to an appropriate privacy authority
These rights may be subject to legal exceptions.
For example, we may need to retain information to:
- Complete an order
- Maintain tax or accounting records
- Prevent fraud
- Protect security
- Resolve a dispute
- Exercise legal rights
- Comply with a legal obligation
15. How to Submit a Privacy Request
Privacy requests may be submitted to:
Email: support@culinow.com
Subject line: Privacy Request
Please include:
- Your full name
- Account email address
- The right you want to exercise
- A clear description of the request
- The country or state where you live, when relevant
We normally acknowledge messages within one business day.
The time required to complete a verified privacy request depends on the request and applicable legal requirements.
16. Identity Verification
Before completing certain privacy requests, we may need to verify that the requester is:
- The person connected to the information
- An authorized representative
- A parent or legal guardian where legally appropriate
Verification may involve:
- Confirming access to the registered email address
- Confirming account information
- Confirming order information
- Requesting additional information reasonably necessary to prevent unauthorized disclosure
We will not request more information than reasonably necessary for verification.
17. Authorized Representatives
Where applicable law allows, you may use an authorized representative to submit a privacy request.
We may require:
- Written authorization
- Verification of the representative’s identity
- Direct confirmation from the account holder
- Proof of legal authority
We may deny a representative request if sufficient authorization cannot be verified.
18. Account Deletion
You can delete your Culinow account yourself, at any time:
- In the Culinow application: Settings → Delete account permanently.
- On the website: Settings → Your data and your account → Delete my account.
- If you no longer have the application installed and cannot sign in, the page at culinow.com/delete-account explains the process, and you may email support@culinow.com from the address registered to the account.
Deletion is confirmed with your password and takes effect immediately. There is no waiting period, the account cannot be restored afterwards, and we send a confirmation to the email address held on the account once it is complete.
Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, name, photograph, biography, email address, boards, shopping lists, pantry, meal plans, likes, follows, Status Points, badges, mission history, and your activity and browsing records.
Recipes, reviews, tweaks, questions and comments you published remain on Culinow with your name, photograph and profile removed, and the link to your account permanently severed. Photographs you uploaded remain as published. Photographs uploaded from 1 September 2026 onwards have had their embedded metadata — including any location data — removed automatically when they were saved, as described in section 2. Anything uploaded before that date may still carry the metadata the camera or device wrote into it. Reviews, likes and saves that other people added to your recipes belong to those people and also remain.
Records of purchases and subscriptions, including the email address used at checkout, are retained for seven years after deletion. Tax law requires the invoice to be kept, and it is what allows a payment dispute to be answered. Nothing else about you is retained. See section 11 for the full retention schedule.
If you subscribed through the website, deleting your account also stops the subscription from renewing; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. If you subscribed through Google Play, deleting your Culinow account does not cancel that subscription, because Google bills it — it must be cancelled in your Google Play subscription settings.
Before requesting deletion, you should:
- Download eligible purchased products
- Save recipes or information you want to retain
- Cancel active subscriptions
- Resolve outstanding order or support issues
Deleting an account does not automatically:
- Cancel an active subscription
- Refund completed purchases
- Remove all legally required transaction records
- Remove content copied or shared by third parties
- Remove information needed for fraud prevention, legal claims, or security
We may anonymize certain Community Content instead of deleting it when permitted by law and reasonably necessary to preserve discussions, recipe references, or platform integrity.
19. Marketing Communications
You may unsubscribe from promotional email messages by:
- Selecting the unsubscribe link in the message
- Updating available communication settings
Contacting support@culinow.com
After unsubscribing, you may still receive necessary transactional messages relating to:
- Account security
- Orders
- Downloads
- Payments
- Refunds
- Subscriptions
- Policy changes
- Support requests
We may retain your email address on a suppression list to ensure that promotional messages are not sent after you opt out.
20. Third-Party Links
Culinow may contain links to third-party websites or services.
This Privacy Policy does not govern third-party websites.
DIGINETWORK LLC is not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of independent third parties.
Review the applicable third-party privacy policy before submitting information.
21. Children’s Privacy
Culinow is not directed to children under 13 years of age.
Children under 13 may not create a Culinow account or submit personal information through the platform.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that personal information was collected from a child under 13 without legally required authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete or restrict the information.
A parent or legal guardian who believes that a child under 13 has submitted personal information may contact:
